About Paul
Jenkins

Birth Place: West Midlands
Education: Dudley College Of Art
Paul first started his career in art the
early 70's sculpting in wood and then found himself drawn
to sculpting in clay and wax. He then went on to study ceramics
at Dudley College of Art.
After graduating in 1979, Paul set up his own business making
sculpture and ceramics which were sold all over the world.
Within five years he had a growing customer base that included
galleries and private collectors.
Paul then sold his business to concentrate on more exclusive
art works rather than the mass market pieces he had so successfully
produced in the past.
Paul went on to work as a commercial designer for various
companies around the world, including the Metropolitan Museum
of New York. There he was commissioned to produce a replica
that was the exact size, shape and colour of a rare tea
pot from 1950. This piece was exhibited and further copies
sold to galleries and private collectors.
Paul has also created more outlandish pieces such as 6 Ten-foot
Art Deco Figures for the interior of a night club.
Paul has also sculpted several pieces for the National Trust
which were then presented to people for their outstanding
contributions within the trust.
Paul's inspiration comes from his love of nature and many
of his pieces are inspired from direct observation of wild
animals in their natural habitat.
Paul’s art can be found in many galleries
in the United Kingdom and the rest of the world.
