Inspired by the jagged coast of Scandinavia, these striking stud earrings have a contemporary abstract appearance that gives them a cool attitude suitable for day or evening wear. The unusual matte finish given to the sterling silver adds a last touch of sophisticated chic.
Award-winning designer Bent Gabrielsen was renowned for his groundbreaking and contemporary designs throughout the latter part of the 20th century. His work for Georg Jensen includes the Peak collection where he took the shapes of natural landscapes and abstracted them into clean, sharp lines that still look modern and wearable today.
The ear studs beautifully crafted from matte sterling silver are suitable for pierced ears.

Bent Gabrielsen Pedersen (born in 1928) studied at the Danish College of Jewellery and Silversmithing which produced all the major artists in Denmark. He was one of the first graduates from the college in 1953.
After he left college he was hired by Hans Hansen where he took over the jewellery design department from Karl Gustav in 1953. He designed smooth silver “boomerang” type bracelets and earrings and “atomic” jewellery with enamel for Hans Hansen in the fifties.
Although Hans Hansen and its designs were purchased by the Georg Jensen company in the 80’s, Gabrielsen had previously worked with them as an independent designer.
